Short Description: A very deep collection with the author touching on a number of threads about life. Love, especially, is proclaimed and celebrated in ‘The Rains have fallen’, ‘Yours unconditionally’, ‘Star’, ‘Love has made it’ and many more.

Famodun’s style sometimes drifts to the pre-romantic era of English literature. However, in ‘Aditu’, the author uses poetic insight to explain the mysterious powers of nature that man has succeed in harnessing, but has yet to fully explain. The spirit of assurance of redemption is woven throughout the collection especially in poems like ‘Positive’ and ‘Poem of Redemption’. It is a good read and very philosophical in ‘Gangplank’, ‘The Way’, ‘I, someone else and Myself with Me’, ‘Infinity’ and ‘Baby’. You don’t need to appreciate reading poetry before you could enjoy ‘Poems of Redemption.’ – MrAkanz (Amazon Reviewer)

Short Description: With the earth of structure and the air of rhyme, the water of rhythm and the fire of passion, Kukogho Iruesiri Samson weaves his own brand of poetry, keeping faith with the old traditions, yet inventing new ones. This collection of poems addresses much, from the struggle to bury memories of bitter childhood to the agitated demand for a better world; if Poetry is, sometimes, difficult to fathom, you will find the effort, in this case, vastly rewarding. Like the author himself asks, “What can words do?” In this collection he shows that they can do anything; that they can do everything.
